I am Mr. Lee your GRASP Counselor for the 2020-2021 school year. I am originally from Montgomery, Alabama and received my B.S. in Accounting from Tuskegee University and my M.A. in School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University.  Although this is my second year at Frederick Douglass High School, I also worked as a graduation coach at Bunche Middle School for several years.  This will be my tenth school year serving in Atlanta Public Schools.

I have lived in north metro Atlanta for 19 years, with my two sons (Jordan and Jalen). My hobbies are deep-sea fishing and coaching youth football.

My mission as the GRASP counselor at the Frederick Douglass High School is to aid students’ personal, social, vocational, and academic development by removing barriers to success so that all students feel empowered to reach their lifelong academic and career goals. I believe that every student has the ability to be successful.  I will be working with a selective student caseload who are credit deficient and will require extra assistance in getting back on track to graduate.
